Iran, China; important parts of Asian civilization: Chinese official

Tehran (IP): The deputy head of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences says that the two countries of Iran and China are important parts of Asian civilization.

Iran PressIran news: Wang Linggui said that the two countries of Iran and China enjoyed long-lasting ties and power.

He added that the relations between the two countries had been established over the Silk Road and continued well through history.

He said the Iranian and Chinese nations benefited from the ties and cooperation in various fields, adding that Chinese companies in Iran had created sufficient job opportunities. 

Linggui also stated: "We believe that the 25-year Iran-China Comprehensive Cooperation Plan is not only in the interests of the two nations but also a valuable asset to support regional and global peace."

In international arenas, Iran and China, by strengthening their internal affairs, have always stood against military intervention and opposed maximum pressure policies, he said.

"China has supported Iran's efforts to struggle for maintaining its independence," he underscored. "As always, China is ready to support developing countries and their interests."

The sixth round of Iran-China cultural talks focusing on "examining the dimensions of the culture of multilateralism in the sphere of civilization of the two countries" was held as a webinar on Sep 14, 2021, in full compliance with health protocols.
