Raisi: transformation steps taken in combating Coronavirus

Tehran (IP) - Speaking on Saturday at the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, Ebrahim Raisi stated that thanks to God, good transformational steps had been taken in the field of combating the disease, adding: "In addition to issuing licence for Fakhra vaccine, production lines of Barekat and Raazi vaccines have also been upgraded and developed.”

Iran PressIran news: The President pointed out that the issuance of licenses for the distribution and use of domestically produced vaccines has been accelerated, but in no way has the accuracy been affected by the speed, adding: "In general, the production of domestic vaccines has progressed very well and this process will continue until the vaccine production process reaches the level of domestic demand.”

Ayatollah Raisi also said: "The increase in import statistics and at the same time the increase in daily vaccination statistics has eliminated people's concerns to a large extent, and we hope that the daily vaccination will soon surpass the statistics of 2 million people per day”.

The President also praised the successful implementation of the updated screening plan (Martyr Soleimani) and stated: "The sum of these steps and transformational measures will pave the way for the reopening of schools and scientific centres, as well as the opening and prosperity of businesses.”

Ayatollah Raisi emphasized: "Of course, under any circumstances and even after the quota of vaccinated people is reached, the public obligation to observe health protocols is the most effective measure along with vaccination to protect people against the COVID-19 virus"

The President pointed out: "It is better that the reports submitted to the task force by the various departments about the decrease or increase in the new cases or fatalities, be presented along with the reasons for this increase and decrease."

In another part of his speech, Raisi said: "In order to manage public opinion regarding the outbreak and to address unnecessary concerns, it is better to hold scientific and expert meetings on the radio and television under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.”

Referring to the approach of the Arba’een ceremony, the President said: "Negotiations are underway with the Iraqi side in order to hold this ceremony in the best possible way, with the priority of protecting the lives of pilgrims of the Ahl al-Bayt."
