​​​​​​​Tehran (IP) – Foreign ministers of Iran and Qatar met Thursday morning in Tehran to discuss the latest bilateral, regional and international developments.

Iran PressIran News: During his visit to Tehran, Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Thursday morning to discuss the latest bilateral, regional, and international developments. 

Accelerating the issuance of trade visas, facilitating the movement of traders and private sector business people, and holding a joint commission for cooperation between the two countries in the 2022 FIFA World Cup were also discussed. 

US responsible for Afghan's sufferings

In this meeting, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran said to his Qatari counterpart that the US was responsible for the pains and sufferings of the Afghan nation.

The status quo in Afghanistan would reach stability only if an inclusive government were established with the participation of all Afghan ethnicities,  Amir-Abdollahian added. 

This morning, the Iranian foreign minister had also discussed regional developments in a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed.
