He added: "The officials of the Republic of Azerbaijan strongly welcome the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries, especially the border provinces."
Welcoming the invitation to visit Ardabil province, the new ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan said: "I will come to this province at the earliest opportunity and will meet with government officials and the private sector."
The Deputy Governor of Ardabil also emphasized the development of economic and trade relations between Ardabil province and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Arjang Azizi considered the border between Iran and Azerbaijan as one of the safest borders and added: "Considering the cultural, social and religious commonalities, the development of economic and trade relations has always been emphasized and supported by the high officials of both countries."
While inviting the new ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Iran to visit Ardabil province, he added: The new border of Parsabad is one of the expectations of the officials of this province from the new ambassador.
The new Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan entered the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran through the land border of Astara and was welcomed by the Deputy Governor of Ardabil, the Chairman of the Ardabil Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, and the Director-General of Astara Customs.
Compared to the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, Iran had the highest trade exchange with the Republic of Azerbaijan in the first half of this year, so that the value of trade between the two countries during this period reached more than $ 194 million.
President Ilham Aliyev has appointed Bonyad Hosseinov the former Azeri consul general to the Iranian city of Tabriz as the country's new ambassador to Tehran.
