Sanandaj (IP) - The traditional ceremony of turning grapes into raisins is held annually in the touristic village of Dulab in Sanandaj county of Kurdistan province, Western Iran.

Iran PressIran news: In this traditional ceremony, the grapes are picked from the vineyards of Dulab village and turned into raisins in different stages.

Dulab is one of the tourist destinations in Kurdistan province; the houses of this village are traced and are located almost at the top of the mountain.

There are walnut, grape, and fig trees around Dulab tourist village which is surrounded by many springs around this village.

There are several eco-tourism houses in the old village and tourism of Dulab. Some historical sources state that this village is 900 years old.

Spring and summer are the best seasons to visit Dulab village, and in September, when it is time to turn grapes into raisins, spreading them on the roofs of houses, the beauty of this old village doubles more than before.

The traditional ceremony of raisin production in Dulab village of Sanandaj has been registered in the list of intangible works of Iran.
