Iran press/ Asia: The Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar expressed confidence in the message that Hossein Amir-Abdollahian's tenure as Foreign Minister will deepen and expand bilateral relations and promote regional and international cooperation based on common interests between Iran and Afghanistan as the two neighboring countries, which are considered as friendly and brotherly countries as well.
Abdullah Abdullah, chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council of Afghanistan, also spoke by telephone with Iran's Foreign Minister on Sunday night.
In this telephone conversation, Abdullah Abdullah congratulated Amir-Abdollahian and praised the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in defending the Afghan people.
