Sistan and Baluchestan (IP) - Iran's President said that the Makran coast can be a hub of prosperity and trade relations with the world.

Iran Press/Iran news: Meeting with people in Chabahar on Friday, Ebrahim Raisi stated that the Makran coast is the gateway for Iran to many countries in the world, which is of a very sensitive and important position, and said jobs must be created to boost production in this region. 

The President further referred to the issue of requesting the establishment of a university of medical sciences in the region as an issue that would be on the agenda of the administration's follow-ups of the visit.

Raisi appreciated all those who worked for the security of the region, including Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Basij, police, army, and border guards in the navy, land, and air forces.

"We consider Chabahar as a safe and secure area, very suitable for investment, and in the meeting of the administrative council of the province, we will discuss in detail the investment of Iranians in this area who are both inside and outside the country," he said.

Chabahar port is located in Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran.
