Iran Press/ Iran news: Receiving a telephone call from Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega on Tuesday, Ebrahim Raisi said the foreign policy approach of Iran's government is to improve the level of relations with Latin American countries, including Nicaragua.
"The Iranian and Nicaraguan nations' common view against the US aggression is a valuable asset for interaction and convergence in the international arena in order to defend the national sovereignty of independent countries and nations," Raisi said.
Ortega for his part stressed that Nicaragua strongly has kept on shoring up its ties with Iran and noted that the US has targeted the two countries' unity.
He stressed the preservation of the Iranian and Nicaraguan nations' unity in order to pave the way for the fight against imperialism and setting up peace and justice in the world. 219
