The Iranian foreign minister's special envoy for Afghanistan met with his German counterpart in Kabul on Sunday to discuss Afghanistan's latest political and security developments.

Iran press/Asia: The Iranian foreign minister's special envoy for Afghanistan, Mohammad-Ebrahim Taherian said: "It is necessary for all parties in Afghanistan to adhere to the political strategy and efforts to form an inclusive and pluralistic government, which is the only option available to end the war and violence in the country."

Endorsing the approach, Jasper Wieck also called for continued consultation and cooperation between Tehran and Berlin to build lasting peace and stability with the participation of all Afghan ethnic groups.
