Tehran (IP) - Some of Iran's lawmakers expressed their opposition and approval to the appointment of the proposed Minister of Interior Ahmad Vahidi.

for the Ministry of Interior to the Parliament for a vote of confidence.

MPs on Tuesday review qualification of Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi former Defense Minister who is proposed for Interior Ministry.

Opponent

Mohammad Reza Sabbaghian, the representative of Mehriz and Bafgh, said the proposed Minister had no coherent plan to fight the narcotics and the addicted.

He said Ahmad Vahidi's plans did not point to the other issues such as smuggling goods, bribery, negative economic growth, inflation, and social gaps. 

Proponents:

Alborz Hosseini, Zanjan's representative, said the proposed minister of interior had the necessary capability for the office and that he was of the founders of the Qods Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC). 

Ghodratollah Shalamzari, the representative of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari's people, pointed to the reconciliation between political currents, public health, environmental protection, public welfare, crisis management, Iranian identity, and e-government as well as using the economic capacity of the neighboring countries as the issues addressed in the proposed minister's plans. 

The sessions of Iran's Parliament for the vote of confidence to the President Raisi's cabinet began on Saturday with his speech defending his administration's plans and suggested cabinet.

By the speech of Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament, the procedure kicked off and will continue to the end of the vote of confidence.
