The Sistan and Baluchestan police commander announced the arrest of 5 smugglers and the discovery of 2 tons and 62 kilograms of drugs in Saravan.

Iran PressIran News: Brigadier-General Ahmad Taheri said: "Yesterday evening, the Saravan Anti-Narcotics Police identified the members of this armed gang who were transporting narcotics using 3 vehicles."

He added: "In this operation, 5 smugglers were arrested, and 958 kilograms of opium were discovered in the inspection of confiscated vehicles."

Taheri said: "The officers further identified the main location of the smugglers' drug depot in a house located in a village in Saravan, and during the inspection of this place, 1 ton and 104 kilograms of opium were discovered."

The police officer stated that two weapons with 78 rounds of ammunition were discovered in this operation, noting that the arrested people have been referred to the judicial authorities for legal proceedings.
