IRAN (IP)- The spokesman of the Teachers Faction of Iran's Parliament has said that the participants in the voting procedure announced their opposition to the proposed Minister of Education.

Iran PressIran News: Jabbar Kouchakinejad, a representative of the people of Rasht in Iran's Parliament said: "The meeting of the Teachers Faction of the Parliament was held at 6:45 this morning."

He added: "In this meeting, which was attended by other representatives in addition to the members of the faction, in the presence of the proposed Minister of Education, Parliamentary Vice President and Parliamentary Deputy Minister of Education, Hossein Baghgoli's competence for the Ministry of Education was discussed."

The spokesman stated: "In this meeting, the proposed minister presented his plans, and then the parliamentarians presented their reservations for 40 minutes."

Kouchakinejad noted: "Finally, in the paper voting, out of the 23 MPs present at the meeting, 20 MPs opposed Mr. Baghgoli's competence for Ministry of Education, and only three voted for him. In this regard, the faction announced its opposition to Mr. Baghgoli."

The session of Iran's Parliament for the vote of confidence to the proposed ministers of Ebrahim Raisi's cabinet began on Saturday in the presence of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran with a speech by the Speaker of the Parliament, and the procedure is still continuing.
