Tehran(IP): An agreement on mutual administrative assistance and cooperation in customs affairs was signed between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressIran News: The Japanese Embassy in Tehran announced on Sunday: "Today, on Sunday, the signing ceremony of the agreement between the Japanese and Iranian governments on mutual administrative assistance and cooperation in customs affairs between Ikawa Kazutoshi, Japanese Ambassador to Iran and Mahdi Mir Ashrafi, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and Head of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

The purpose of signing this agreement between Iran and Japan is to achieve administrative support and mutual cooperation in customs affairs.

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif met his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi at Iran's Foreign Ministry on Sunday to discuss regional, international issues.

During his two-day visit to Tehran, the Japanese foreign minister is scheduled to hold talks with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his proposed foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
