Iran's Parliament: Economic Commission report on proposed Minister of Economy positive

Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman of the Economic Commission of Iran's Parliament said the commission's report on the qualification of the proposed Minister of Economy is positive.

Iran PressIran News: Gholamreza Marhaba, noting that the proposed Minister of Economy, Ehsan  Khandouzi, answered lawmakers' questions at the Economic  Commission of the Parliament, said Khandouzi's commitment to the reduction of the budget deficit is a good indicator.

"The proposed minister believed the past decades' policymaking did not lead to the development in the economy, and fundamental changes in the economic strategies and policies are the only way to overcome the country's economic problems," Marhaba added. 

According to the parliament's economic commission spokesman, practicing reforms in taxes and customs system, financial supply, treasury, and free zones were among the proposed minister of economy, Ehsan Khandouzi's main programs.

Iran Parliament kicked off an open session on Saturday morning to review the list of cabinet ministers of the 13th administration.

The parliamentarians will review the list of the cabinet members in the open sessions of the Parliament to the end of the confidence vote process.
