Tehran (IP) – Iranian new administration's proposed minister of intelligence says US' doctrine has failed in West Asia, especially in Afghanistan.

Iran PressIran News: Attending the open session of the Iranian parliament on Sunday to defend his proposed plans, Esmail Khatib called the security situation in the country and the region an intertwined issue that is constantly changing.

He noted that the Ministry of Intelligence should identify all the diverse dimensions of security on a national and transnational scale by producing information and providing security and vigilance in surveillance and border-guarding.

Calling the US doctrine a failure in West Asia, especially in Afghanistan, he stated that the United States and its allies continue to perpetuate mischief and sedition in the region.

He noted that the enemy is developing enmity with Iran using technological facilities.
