555 COVID-19 patients in Iran succumb to death in 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Ministry announced on Friday that COVID-19 had taken 555 lives during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 100,810.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to August 20, 2021, a total number of 4,616,516 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 3,868,196 of the total infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 28,833 cases, out of whom 4,064 patients were hospitalized.

7,587 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 27,666,082 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 359 cities are red, 59 are orange, and 30 are yellow zones.

So far, 16,378,331 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 5,427,548 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 21,805,879 doses.
