Foreign Ministry Spox:
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh

Tehran (IP): Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman on Tuesday night, while reminding that Iran's scaling down and remedial measures in relation to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) have been done within the framework of this agreement, stressed that in case Washington and other parties return to their obligations under the JCPOA, then Iran would go back that way.

Iran Press/Iran news: Saeed Khatibzadeh, regarding the recent report published by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said: "All nuclear programs and actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran are in full compliance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and Iran's commitments under safeguards and under supervision of IAEA and had been announced in advance."

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman added: "Iran's scaling down and remedial measures in relation to the JCPOA have also been taken within the framework of JCPOA and as repeatedly stated in response to the widespread violation of it and Resolution 2231 by the United States and the lack of full compliance of other parties especially the three European countries with their obligations under the JCPOA."

Khatibzadeh stressed: "It is obvious that unless the full and unconditional implementation of the nuclear deal is resumed by the United States and other JCPOA parties, the Islamic Republic of Iran will pursue its peaceful nuclear program solely on the basis of the needs and decisions of the government and within the framework of NPT."

At the end, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, while reaffirming the civilian and peaceful nature of the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated: "If the other parties return to their commitments under JCPOA and Washington fully and effectively and verifiably lifts unilateral and illegal sanctions against the Iranian people, all of Iran's scaling down and remedial measures under JCPOA will be reversible."

IAEA said in a report on Tuesday that Iran had accelerated its uranium enrichment.
