Iran Press/ Iran news: In an interview with Iran Press, Hojjat Shafaei added that in the industry of producing gold, silver, and precious stones, Hong Kong, Turkey, Thailand, India, Italy, South Korea, and Iran are active.
The head of the Union of Producers and Exporters of Gold, Silver, and Precious Stones in Iran said, of course, in the consumption sector, Iranians are among the top 15 in using gold, silver, and precious stones in the world.
Shafaei added that the fluctuations in gold and currency prices have affected the amount of trade of gold, and have led to a stagnation in the trade of gold and precious stones.
The head of the Union of Producers and Exporters of Gold, Silver, and Precious Stones in Iran said that there are about 18 gold, silver, and precious stones mines registered in Iran, and according to the official statistics, 5 mines are more active than the other ones.
Shafaei added that in the field of precious stones mines, Iran can be one of the exporters of this sector in the world because 17% of the world's precious stone mines are located in Iran.
