Flights between Iran and Afghanistan were suspended until further notice due to disorder at Kabul Airport.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Hassan Zibakhsh, the spokesman of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization, said on Monday that according to the Kabul Airport's Control Center, the flight control system of the airport was disabled and has become un-controlled.

Zibakhsh added: "Kabul airport and Afghanistan airspace are now closed."

He said: "Right now, there are no flights from Iran to Afghanistan until stability and security return to Kabul."

Political developments in Afghanistan have led to an influx of people to Kabul Airport to leave the country.
