Mashhad (IP): The historic terraced village of "Kang," which dates back to three thousand years ago, is the tourism hub of Khorasan Razavi province in northeastern Iran.

Iran PressIran News:  Located 30 km west of Mashhad, the capital of Khorasan Razavi Province and in the North-Eastern skirt of Mount Binālud, the historic terraced village of "Kang" exists with the spectacular terraced architecture of the rural houses.

The architectural style of rural houses in Kang can be considered as one of the important attractions of this village which attracts so many tourists.

The terraced historical village of Kang is about 1,700 meters high above sea level and 184 hectares, and in this village, like Masouleh in Gilan province, houses are built on each other's roofs.

Cherries and sour cherries are the fruit of the village, and handicrafts, pottery, and puppetry, are the other tourist attractions in Kong village.

Prior to the outbreak of the coronavirus, 4,000 tourists a year from the United States, Poland, Germany, Portugal, and Europe visited the historic village of Kang, but now only a limited number of domestic tourists travel to this beautiful historical site.
