Muharram rituals to be held with observation of health protocols

Tehran (IP) - The Secretary-General of Aliasghar World Assembly said the ceremony in respect of Imam Hussein's (AS) infant child would be held with the observation of the health protocols.

Iran PressIran news: Davood Manafipour said the ceremony was held every year on the first Friday of the month of Muharram, which was restricted in recent two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Pointing to the explanation of Islamic rituals, especially those of the Karbala event, as the ceremony's goal, Manafipour said that currently, the rituals were held in other parts of the world.

"We have a variety of scientific and cultural programs for the betterment of the events in different parts of the world," he added.
