Iran, UN, Afghan officials discuss latest developments in Afghanistan

Tehran (IP) - The special envoy of Iran's foreign minister for Afghanistan, met UN Secretary-General's Personal Representative for Afghanistan here in Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: During the meeting, Mohammad-Ebrahim Taherian and Jean Arnault, discussed the latest developments, including the peace process and inter-Afghan talks.

Iran's diplomat also had a phone conversation with Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council of Afghanistan, to discuss common concerns.

While thanking the principled policy of Iran for supporting and facilitating the peace process in Afghanistan, Abdullah stressed the importance of the continuation of Tehran's support.

Taherian also had a telephone conversation with Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
