Tehran (IP) - Receiving Bangladesh's State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Iran's Foreign Minister called for the continuation of the two countries' cooperation more than ever and through creative ways.

Iran PressIran news: In a meeting with Iran's Mohammad Javad Zarif on Friday, Shahriar Alam discussed issues of relations between the two countries in various political, economic, and cultural fields.

Reviewing the various areas of bilateral relations, especially the cooperation in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Bangladesh's position on the Palestinian issue, Zarif appreciated the Bangladeshi government cooperation during the last eight-year term of the former Iranian president in expanding relations between the two countries.

Zarif expressed hope that in the future, the relations and cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Bangladesh would continue to expand as much as possible and creative methods would be used to develop cooperation.

Bangladesh's State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam for his part enumerated the grounds of cooperation between Iran and Bangladesh and appreciated his counterpart Zarif's 8-year efforts in maintaining relations between the two countries.

Shahriar Alam arrived in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new president of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raeisi.
