Tehran (IP) - A member of the National Security Commission of Iran's Parliament emphasized that the foreign ministry should file a lawsuit against the baseless accusations of Israel and the United States at international institutions.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press on Monday, Shahriar Heydari referred to the recent accusations by the US, Britain, and Israeli regime against Iran for alleged involvement in the attack on an Israeli ship, saying that Israel and the United States had repeatedly accused the Islamic Republic of Iran of terrorist acts or non-cooperation with international institutions or the rule of law on various issues, including human rights.

The MV Mercer Street, operated by an Israeli-owned firm, was attacked off the Omani coast on Thursday, in which a British national and a Romanian citizen were killed.

In separate statements, Israel, the UK, the US, and Romania claimed that Iran had used one or more drones against the MV Mercer Street, calling it "deliberate, targeted, and a clear violation of international law."

Heydari stated: "The Zionist regime has various enemies due to its subversive actions, and in fact, the oppressed nation of Palestine and many countries of the Islamic world have serious differences with Israel."

Shahriar Heydari highlighted that Israel, with these problems and many opponents, should never feel secure, although it oppresses independent and free governments and free nations to create security.

"The recent accusations of the Israeli regime and the United States are only for the sake of keeping it alive internationally, and Israel and the United States want to put Iran under pressure for the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)," he noted.

The parliament member stressed that Iran also categorically denies the baseless accusations of the United States and Israel, and the Iranian diplomatic apparatus must actively respond to these allegations.
