Tehran (IP) - The head of the Economic Commission of Iran's Parliament says it will review the draft of the plan on the legal status of the cryptocurrencies, published last Iranian year (starting on March 21).

Iran PressIran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Mohammadreza Pourebrahimi stated that as soon as the report on the cryptocurrencies was studied, the legal status of the cryptocurrencies will be determined in the second half of the current year.

Pourebrahimi noted that the members of the parliament's economic commission would issue rulings soon in which the legalization of cryptocurrencies was defined, and the relevant institutions' duties were also specified.

"After the final report of the Economic Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, the draft of 'legal status of the cryptocurrencies' plan will be read publicly and its administrative procedures will be followed up," the MP added.
