Palestine (IP) – Member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement said the occupying regime thought it could defeat the resistance but was surprised by the equipment of the resistance front.

Iran PressMiddle East: The senior member of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, Khaled al-Batash, made the remarks on Sunday night in response to the killing of Palestinian children by the Zionist regime.

Noting that "Quds Sword" battle was not the last battle with the occupying Zionist regime, he stated: "As long as this regime continues to usurp our lands, we will be in constant war, because we own this land and we will not hand over an inch of its territory."

He pointed out that the consequences of the "Quds Sword" battle continue, and the Zionist regime is trying to achieve something that it could not achieve through aircraft and terror by intensifying the siege of Gaza and preventing the import of goods and construction materials.

Reacting to the brutal killing of Palestinian children by the Zionist regime, Hamas Spokesman Muhammad Hamadeh also stated: "Resistant residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood will stand up to the Zionist occupiers' efforts to Judaize al-Quds and relocate Palestinians from the city."

Warning that the Zionist regime is playing with fire, he underlined: "Our people refuse to surrender and will stand with all their might against the occupiers."

He announced resistance's readiness to respond to occupiers' aggression and added: "They must learn a lesson and stop their attacks on al-Quds neighborhoods."

Zionist regime forces completely closed off the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in al-Quds on Saturday night and did not allow Palestinians to enter.

As a result, a group of Palestinians held a rally to demand the lifting of restrictions in the area and the abolition of the forced relocation of Sheikh Jarrah residents.
