Haniyeh re-elected as leader of Hamas

Palestine (IP) - The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) once again elected Ismail Haniyeh as the head of Hamas.

Iran PressMiddle East: Haniyeh, Hamas chief since 2017, has controlled the group's political activities in Gaza, the Israeli-occupied West Bank, and the diaspora largely from outside Gaza.

The leaders of the Hamas movement agreed to elect Ismail Haniyeh as the head of the movement's political bureau for another term, which will last until 2025.
