Tehran (IP) - Ghadir Smart Library was opened as Iran's first smart hospital library on Wednesday at Tehran's Labbafinejad Hospital.

Iran PressIran news: The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of Tehran's Task Force for Combating Coronavirus, Alireza Zali, and several directors from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Labbafinejad Hospital.

The library was set up on the third floor of the hospital; and advanced equipment such as new computer systems, library software, electronic doors, and proper design, etc., have been used in its construction.

On the sidelines of the inauguration, Alireza Zali said: "By opening the Ghadir Smart Library, officials of Labbafinejad Hospital have moved towards creating a smart hospital."

"The full connection of Ghadir Smart Library to the sources of journals has made the library even richer," he noted.

"With the opening of projects such as the Ghadir Library, we hope to create green hospitals at which paper will not be used," he added.

The official added: "While Tehran is in the fifth COVID peak, the relevant officials in Labbafinejad Hospital have been providing valuable services to COVID-19 patients since the beginning of the outbreak."

At the end of the ceremony, those active in fighting coronavirus were also honored.
