Tehran (IP): Iran's Foreign Minister, in a meeting with the President of the Cuban Finlay Institute of Vaccine, called Iran-Cuba cooperation in biotechnology, genetics, and vaccines vital.

Iran Press/Iran News: Vicente Vérez Bencomo, President of the Cuban Finlay Institute of Vaccine, who is visiting Iran, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif this afternoon(Monday).

During the meeting, Dr. Vicente explained the cooperation between the vaccination institutes of the two countries to produce the COVID-19 vaccine and appreciated Zarif and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran for handling cooperation between the two countries.

Cuban Ambassador to Tehran accompanying Vérez Bencomo described Dr. Zarif last year's visit to Havana as crucial for the cooperation between Iran's Pasteur Institute and the Cuban Finlay for developed the COVID-19 vaccine.
