Navy commander leaves for St. Petersburg

Tehran (IP) - Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, Commander of the I.R. Iran Navy, left Tehran for St. Petersburg to attend the Russian Navy Day.

Iran PressIran news: Visiting Russia at the official invitation of Russia's Minister of Defence General Sergei Shoigu, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi is scheduled to attend the Russian Navy Day ceremony as a special guest.

According to the report, the Iran-made destroyer Sahand has already arrived in the Russian port of St. Petersburg and is scheduled to participate in the ceremony as a representative of the navy alongside the Russian fleet.

The Makran Big Ship, which accompanied the Sahand destroyer, will harbour at the entrance of the Volga Canal and join the ceremony at the same place due to the limitations of the naval parade site, including the shallow depth and size of the ship.

It is worthwhile to mention that the great naval parade of the Russian Navy on the occasion of the anniversary of the formation of the Russian Navy will start tomorrow, and representatives of some countries will also be present.
