Iran Press/ Iran news: The people of Qom and the pilgrims of the holy shrine of Fatemeh Masoumeh (PBUH) also participated in the prayer of Arafa on Tuesday evening, observing the health protocols.
Eid al-Adha, or ‘Feast of the Sacrifice, commemorates Prophet Abraham’s (known as Ibrahim in Arabic) willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail, according to God's order. As Abraham was about to kill his son, God gave Prophet Abraham a sheep instead of slaughtering.
Iran is celebrating Eid al-Adha on July 21 this year.
