Rouhani congratulates leaders of Islamic countries on Eid al-Adha

Tehran (IP) - In separate messages to the leaders of Islamic countries, Iran's President congratulated the arrival of Eid al-Adha on Tuesday.

Iran PressIran news: In separate messages to the leaders of Islamic countries, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday congratulated the arrival of Eid al-Adha.

Rouhani has stated in his message that this Eid is a chapter to slaughter belongings, to give up desires in the way of the true beloved, and to manifest pure faith and obedience to God.

In this congratulatory message, the President of Iran expressed his hope that all Muslims, with the blessings of this Eid, will be freed from the shackles of evil desires and sacrifice their lives and property for the sake of God and help Muslim brothers and compatriots, with the great mercy of God.

In his message, Rouhani also asked God Almighty for the health and success of the leaders and the happiness and pride of the people of the Islamic countries.

Millions of Muslims around the world celebrated the Eid al-Adha by performing the al-Adha feast prayer.

The 10th day of the Islamic lunar month of Dhul Hijjah marks Eid al-Adha, which is celebrated at the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

While in countries in Saudi Arabia and Iraq, Eid al-Adha was celebrated a day earlier, on July 20, 2021, it will be celebrated in Iran and India on July 21 this year.
