Iran Press/ Iran news: According to Iran Press, the ceremony, which was held at the CIP site of Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran, was attended by Masoud Soltanifar, Minister of Sports and Youth of Iran, Reza Salehi Amiri, President of National Olympic Committee of Iran, and Keykavous Saeedi, Chairman and Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee of Iran and several sports officials of the country and the presidents of the sports federations were present, Hamideh Abbasali and Ali Pakdaman, the national karate and fencing team of Iran, read the affidavit of the athletes sent by Iran to the Olympics.
At the beginning of the ceremony, which was broadcast live on Iran's sports network, Reza Salehi Amiri, President of the National Olympic Committee of Iran, in a speech referring to the athletes sent to the Tokyo Olympics said: "This squad is the squad of Omid Mellat (nation's hope) and its slogan 'All for Iran' and this squad is determined to make the Iranian people proud by shining in the Olympics."
As the ceremony was continued, Masoud Soltanifar, Minister of Sports and Youth of Iran, also said in a speech: "The squad whose first group is currently being sent is one of the most elite athletes in Iran and the world."
The Minister of Sports and Youth of Iran added: "Iranian athletes have gone through a hard and difficult path to get the Olympic quota and it is hoped that the athletes will be able to achieve brilliant results."
In this ceremony, some of the national team members also spoke about the level of preparation and possible results in the Olympic Games.
