Tehran (IP) - The Chief Commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that there is no concern on the eastern borders and the armed forces are always ready to face major threats.

Iran PressIran news: "Because of our common roots with the people of Afghanistan, we are interested in their security, peace and well-being, and we are concerned about the situation of our Afghan brothers and sisters," said Iran's Army Commander Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi said during a visit to the eastern borders of the country.

The army chief commander added: "Iran's armed forces have been preparing for years to face major threats, and if an incident occurs, they will resolve it quickly and forcefully."

Mousavi emphasized: "There is no concern on the eastern borders, but we are not unaware of the mischief of those who may take advantage of the situation in Afghanistan."

The Chief Commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited the monitoring centers of the Eastern Borders and UAV, forest, and electronic systems.
