Baghdad (IP) - The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the readiness of the country to help the victims of the hospital fire at al-Hussain coronavirus hospital in Nasiriyah.

Iran PressIran news: In a telephone call with Iraqi Ministry of Health officials, Iranian Ambassador Iraj Masjedi expressed his deep regret over the fire at the hospital, announcing Iran's readiness to help the victims.

The Iranian ambassador also expressed his condolences to the Iraqi people and officials and the victims' families.

A fire caused by an exploding oxygen tank killed at least 58 people in a hospital treating COVID-19 patients in southern Iraq late Monday.
