Tehran (IP): The vice speaker of Iran's Parliament has said that the private sector has a good capacity for generating electricity that is ignored.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking on the sidelines of an extraordinary meeting of the Energy Commission of the Parliament, Ali Nikzad told Iran Press: "It should not be said that sanctions are the cause of all problems; the private sector has the capacity to generate power and has been capaable of producing 10,300 megawatts of electricity for the industries in Iran.

The vice speaker has noted that the private sector transfers water from the Persian Gulf to the industrial sectors and the cities in need of drinking water.

Nikzad stressed that to avoid frequent power outages, we should invest and develop the electricity industry as other sectors.

The MP also said that the next administration should have the necessary plans and make necessary predictions for various sectors like agriculture, industry, electricity, etc. to avoid acute problems.
