Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs stressed that the economic relations between Iran and Afghanistan would continue.

Iran PressIran News: "The recent developments in Afghanistan have not changed the economic relations with Iran and the communications between the two sides are taking place across the borders," Rasoul Mohajer, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs, said.

He also stated that Iran's relations with Afghanistan were almost through the private sector, noting: "Economic relations with Afghanistan have not been disrupted even during the sanctions, and the main reason for that is the activities of the private sector in this field."

Mohajer also referred to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' activities in providing the coronavirus vaccine, adding: "The Ministry has played an incomparable role in the issue of home-made production and the creation of equipment and raw materials."

Regarding the release of Iranian assets in Iraq, he said that negotiations with Iraqi officials were ongoing and good results had been achieved."
