Tehran (IP) - Iran's new ambassador to Britain has left for London to begin his mission.

Iran Press/ Iran news: Mahdi Hosseini Matin, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Britain, announced the departure of the new Iranian ambassador to London, Mohsen Baharvand, on Sunday.

The Chargé d'Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Kingdom wrote that Baharvand, after presenting his credentials to the Queen of Britain, will take up his diplomatic activity in this position on Tuesday.

Hosseini Matin wished success for Mohsen Baharvand in this position.

Baharvand was previously  the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for International and Legal Affairs 

Mohsen Baharvand replaces Hamid Baeidi Nejad, Iran's former ambassador to Britain.
