Iran envoy to UN:
Iran envoy to UN Majid Takht Ravanchi

New YORK (IP): The ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations in a letter to the President of the Security Council stated that Iran has not been directly or indirectly involved in any attack on US personnel or facilities in Iraq.

Iran PressAmerica: "Majid Takht Ravanchi", wrote in a letter to the President of the Security Council, rejecting the accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has not been directly or indirectly involved in any armed attack by any entity or individual against US personnel or facilities in Iraq, so any attempt to explicitly or implicitly attribute such an allegation to Iran is incorrect and completely baseless."

The senior diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations added: "The US argument that such attacks were carried out to stop the Islamic Republic of Iran and the so-called Iranian-backed militant groups from carrying out more attacks on US personnel or facilities in Iraq, is not real and legal."

He also has stressed that the recent US attempt to accuse others in the region of covering up irresponsible and destabilizing activities or distracting from its illegal and adventurous military actions in the region is doomed to failure.
