Tehran (IP) - Chief of Staff of Presidential Office said two key issues remain for the revival of the JCPOA, which are assurance and verification.

Iran PressIran News: In response to Iran Press about the disputes in Vienna talks for JCPOA revival, Mahmoud Vaezi said: "One of the important issues is to make sure that the United States would not quit the deal again, as it did during the Trump administration."

The Chief of Staff of the Presidential Office stressed that the request for a guarantee from the US is Iran's right and that this important issue has been emphasized since the first day of the Vienna talks.

Vaezi stated that Iran does not accept to be a member of a treaty and at any moment feels that a country is about to leave it. "So, the US government must provide a guarantee that it will not withdraw from the JCPOA."

The second issue is verification, said Mahmoud Vaezi. "Iran must make sure that the other parties will also fulfill their obligations when Iran fulfills its obligations.

He added that given that the United States has withdrawn from the JCPOA, it must first return to its commitments, and after the verification, Iran will fulfill its obligations.
