Iran's Embassy in Beirut:
US Ambassador should not interfere in Iran-Lebanon relations

Beirut (IP) - The Iranian embassy in Beirut has reacted to the intervention of the US ambassador to Lebanon in fuel supplies.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon posted a picture of an Iranian tanker on its Twitter page and wrote: "The arrival of Iranian tankers to Beirut does not require the worthless words of the US ambassador."

The US ambassador to Lebanon should not interfere in the fraternal relations between the two countries and the two nations of Iran and Lebanon, the tweet said.

In a speech on Lebanon's internal crises on Friday, especially the fuel crisis in Lebanon, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah reiterated his offer to supply fuel from Iran, saying that if the Lebanese government could not supply gasoline and diesel, we will prepare it from Iran.

The US ambassador to Beirut, Dorothy Shea, had previously claimed in an interview that imports from Iran were not a viable solution to the fuel crisis in Lebanon.

The US ambassador in Beirut also claimed that in this way, Iran wants to advance its policies in Lebanon and the region.
