Deputy Minister:

Tehran (IP) - The deputy minister of industry, mines, and trade of Iran said that more than 1630 units are active in the cellulose industry, including producers of paper, cardboard, cartons, etc.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking to Iran Press on Monday, Mehdi Sadeghi-Niaraki said: "Iran's paper and cardboard production capacity reaches 5 million tons approximately."

The 4th International Exhibition of Paper and Cardboard Products ‎and Related Machinery opened in Tehran on Monday in the presence of Mehdi Sadeghi-Niaraki, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade of Iran.

On the sidelines of the opening of the exhibition, the Deputy Minister of Industry of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade told Iran Press that in the past years, various types of packaging paper were imported, adding that today Iran is an exporter and good plans are being implemented in the supply of glassine paper.

Sadeghi-Niaraki stated that with the efforts of industrialists and economic activists in a decade in the cellulose industry, not only the volume of domestic production has increased, but also the import-oriented industry has become an export-oriented industry.

The 4th International Exhibition of Paper and Cardboard Products ‎and Related Machinery kicked off on Monday, June 21, 2021 with 60 companies attending it.

The exhibition is held at Tehran's Permanent Fairground from June 21 to 24, 2021.
