Tehran (IP) - The ambassador of Oman to Tehran met with the deputy chairman of the Program and Budget Commission of the Iranian Parliament.

Iran PressIran news: In this meeting, Mohammad-Reza Mirtajodini called the relations between Iran and Oman brotherly and growing.

He also said: "Strengthening friendly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman in various fields, especially in the parliamentary arena, has an effective role in removing obstacles to the development of cooperation between the two countries."

He said that the interactions between the two countries in the economy, trade, industry and tourism are of great importance.

Mirtajodini also added: "Developing cooperation between the two countries lies in cooperation between the scientific, academic, health, and medical sectors of the two countries, especially in the joint fight against the COVID pandemic."

The Ambassador of Oman to Tehran, Ebrahim Al-Moeini, for his part, stressed the need to increase the relationship between the parliaments of the two countries, saying: "Interactions and communication between the representatives of different parts of the parliaments of the two countries, including Commissions and Parliamentary Friendship Groups, play an important role in the development of bilateral relations and the promotion of regional and international cooperation."

He added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the most important and influential countries in the Islamic world and the region, and Omani officials always consider increasing interactions with Iran in various sectors."

At the end of the meeting, Al-Moeini stressed the readiness of the Omani government and Parliament to develop economic interactions with Iran and increase ties between business people and the private sectors of the two countries.
