Tehran (IP) - Speaking at the weekly news conference on Tuesday, Iran's Government Spokesman stressed the maximum public turnout in the upcoming presidential elections.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's government spokesman Ali Rabiei went on to explain that Iran's future and position depend on people's participation in the presidential elections.

The Iranian presidential election will be held on June 18, 2021.

Maximum turnout; key to secure Iran's future

Rabiei stressed the maximum public turnout in the upcoming presidential elections would secure Iran's future and status.

"I want to invite the people to participate as much as possible at the ballot box," he added.

The government spokesman added: "There are many reasons to invite people to the ballot box and we have to tell people why we should have maximum participation. Today we need to know who will benefit the most from this situation."

Rabiei stated: "The fact that some people did not consider the expediency and did not understand it will not undermine the political and social responsibility of all Iranians."

He added: "On the other hand, there is no denying the fact that only a government formed with high turnout will be accountable to the people."

Rabiei concluded: "I sincerely hope that on Friday, we would prove once again that we will not allow some people to close the windows of our hope."
