Bandar Abbas(IP): Iranian Dena destroyer and Shahin minesweeper joined Iranian navy units in an online command of Iran's president in the presence of Iran's defense minister and Iranian navy commander on Monday.

Iran Press/Iran news: Head of the Iranian Defense Ministry's Marine Industries Organization Rear Admiral Amir Rastegari said that the Dena destroyer was the fifth project of the ship-based missile launchers four of which had earlier joined the Iranian navy.

He added that the fire control system used in Dena is one the newest systems made by Iran Electronics Industries which is capable of tracking 40 targets completely and engaging with over five targets simultaneously.

He noted that the telecommunication system of Dena is modern and has anti-jamming capability.

Rastegari stressed that the cannon installed on the destroyer is one of the newest ones made by Defense Industries Organization.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Rastegari noted: "Shahin minesweeper, with a length of 33 meters and a width of 11 meters and a water intake of 180 centimeters, has been manufactured by the Iranian navy forces and Iranian experts in Defense Ministry's Marine Industries Organization."

Rastegari added that Shahin is equipped with high-tech navigation system and is able to neutralize different kinds of mines in the sea.

He added: "The Iran-made Dena destroyer is different from its peers in terms of facilities, equipment, and performance, and the final stages of production and testing of the Dena destroyer were completed last Iranian year."

He said: "A very advanced electronic warfare system has been installed in this destroyer and its frequency spectrum band has been increased, and this system can monitor from the lowest band to the highest band and completely determine its location."
