Tehran (IP) – Iran's election headquarters chief says no anti-security case has been yet reported to disrupt the upcoming Presidential Election.

Iran PressIran News: In response to Iran Press about the measures taken to hold a peaceful, safe, healthy and legal Presidential Election in an atmosphere filled with energy, Jamal Orf stated that various meetings chaired by the interior minister had been held, last of which was on May 24 with political parties, activists and groups for holding an unprecedented election.

He noted that the Interior Ministry also held several meetings with the Supreme National Security Council to ensure a safe and secure election.

He announced that 59,310,310 people are eligible to take part in the 13th Presidential Election in Iran.

"1,392,148 people are first-time voters," Orf pointed out.

He said all election measures had been taken in all provinces, and the election staff would be vaccinated soon.

He added that 67,000 ballot boxes had been prepared for the Presidential Election, saying: "The election process started about 6-7 months ago, hence everything is prepared for the 13th Presidential Election in Iran on June 18, 2021."

Highlighting the voting day for Iranian compatriots living abroad, Orf announced that over 450 polling stations had been prepared worldwide.

The 13th Presidential Election in Iran will be held on Friday, June 18, in full compliance with hygienic protocols.
