Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's envoy in Vienna

Vienna (IP): Iran's envoy to Vienna said that the IAEA’s silence regarding the Israeli nuclear weapons had called into question the agency's neutrality and credibility.

Iran PressEurope: Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's ambassador and permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, said at a meeting of the Board of Governors on Thursday: "The International Atomic Energy Agency’s silence regarding the Zionist regime's nuclear weapons threat and the regimes' terrorist acts and sabotage of Iran's nuclear facilities has called into question the agency's neutrality and credibility.”

He stressed that the current report of the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that there were no safeguards issues regarding Iran's nuclear activities.

Gharibabadi added: "In the last decade, the Iranian nuclear issue has continued to be raised in the IAEA based on baseless allegations, while there is not even a single piece of evidence regarding the diversion of nuclear material to non-peaceful goals."

According to Gharibabadi, Iran adheres to its obligations under the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement and continues to adhere to its provisions.

He stated that the terrorist act of April 11, 2021, against Natanz nuclear facility in Iran could turn into a human and environmental catastrophe.

According to Gharibabadi, the perpetrators of such a sabotage act should not go unpunished and should be held accountable.

He also said that the Israeli and Western media had implicitly confirmed the the Israeli regime involved in the cowardly terrorist attack.
