Iran receives new shipment of Russian Sputnik corona vaccine

Tehran (IP) - an Iranian airliner, Mahan, carrying the ninth shipment of the Russian Sputnik vaccine for coronavirus, landed at Imam Khomeini Airport on Thursday afternoon.

Iran PressIran News: The ninth package of the Russian Sputnik vaccine in a volume of 100,000 doses was delivered to the representative of Iran's embassy in Russia on Wednesday morning before shipping to Tehran.

Last week, the eighth shipment of 100,000 doses of the Sputnik-V vaccine arrived in the country.

This is while about 920,000 doses of the vaccine have been sent to Iran from Russia.

At the same time, the Sputnik-V COVID-19 joint production project in Iran has entered the operational phase.

Moreover, two Iranian companies have successfully cultured vaccine production cells, and joint production will begin soon.
