Tehran (IP) - Iran's Government Spokesman said on Tuesday that Iran's Foreign Policy would not change by changing in government.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the weekly news conference on Tuesday, Ali Rabiei, Iran's government spokesman, said that the United States had unilaterally withdrawn from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in recent years and imposed new illegal and inhumane sanctions in violation of its obligations against Iran.

He added: "We have shown that we adhere to our international obligations under any circumstances, and this was a national decision. Unlike the United States, which has a black record of non-compliance with its obligations and international agreements, the Islamic Republic of Iran has never withdrawn any international agreements and has not violated its obligations because the decisions in this regard are a national consensus".

As long as all parties to the JCPOA adhere to their obligations at the national level, they can be sure that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not violate its obligations, Rabiei stated.

The government spokesman called adherence to obligations and respect for international law and regulations as one of the constant principles of foreign policy.

He emphasized: "This policy will not change with the change of governments. I explicitly declare that the nuclear case is a national case that has been advanced by consensus in the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is not related to our internal developments, and the governing bodies are doing it.

He noted: "In national and macro issues, as always, any result that is achieved within the framework of governance will be acted within the same framework, and with the approval and consensus of the system regarding the negotiations and its result, will be respected by the future government."
