5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts Salehabad of Mehran

Ilam (IP) - A 5.2 magnitude earthquake shook the Salehabad district of the border city of Mehran on Sunday morning.

Iran PressIran news: According to Iran Press, quoting the National Seismological Center affiliated to the Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran, this earthquake occurred at 9:24:22 Sunday morning.

The quake occurred at a latitude of 33.439 and a longitude of 45.980.

The quake struck at a depth of 9 km and no casualties or damage have been reported so far.

The magnitude of the earthquake was so great that it was felt in Ilam city as the center of the province and most cities in the northern part of the province.

Salehabad border district is one of the districts of Mehran city, which is located 37 km southwest of Ilam.
